Dermatology

Dressing being placed on leg - dermatology concept

We provide dermatology services to treat an array of skin disorders requiring intervention near Banga and Phagwara, in Dhahan-Kaleran, in the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar District in Punjab.

Our multidisciplinary team works with a dermatologist to deliver healthcare for the largest organ in the human body: the skin.

Our visiting dermatologist is available for both medical and aesthetic procedures at our hospital.

Who should see a dermatologist?

Dermatologists are doctors who specialize in treating disorders of the skin.

Many general practitioners can also treat skin conditions. They can be your first point of contact for issues like insect bites, acne, hives, rashes, burns or when a dermatologist is not available.

However, if your condition persists, you may be referred to a dermatologist. You may also see a dermatologist directly if you suspect you have a serious skin disease.

Sometimes, internal disease symptoms manifest on the skin. A dermatologist can help diagnose these diseases. In some cases, they can offer treatments to prevent further damage (such as scarring, pain and more) later on.

Anyone with the following symptoms or conditions should see a skin doctor:

  • Psoriasis
  • Lupus & other connective tissue disorders
  • Hair loss
  • Eczema
  • Vitiligo
  • Dry flaking skin
  • Urticaria
  • Dandruff

  • Fungal, viral, bacterial or parasitic infections (e.g. athlete’s foot, nail fungus, yeast infection, leprosy, oral thrush, hand, foot, and mouth disease, measles, chickenpox, cellulitis, ringworm, scabies, etc.)
  • Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) that affect the skin (e.g. human papillomavirus (HPV), herpes and syphilis)
  • Leprosy
  • Red or purple bumps forming in the mouth, genitals, skin, hair or nails (e.g. lichen planus)
  • Warts (i.e. excess skin forming hard bumps on the hands, feet, genitals or other areas)
  • Immunobullous diseases
  • Changing moles (i.e. nevi)
  • Tender, red, oozing or crusty lesions on the skin
  • Ingrown nails
  • Other bumps on the skin (e.g. sebaceous cysts, boils, blisters)
  • Sun damage (e.g. melanoma, actinic keratosis, etc.)

And more.

For aesthetic reasons, you may also see a dermatologist to solve conditions such as:

  • Corns (scaly, callous hard bumps on the hands, feet or where you experience friction)
  • Hair loss, including alopecia
  • Benign moles
