Dr. Tushar Aggarwal is an ophthalmologist (i.e. eye doctor) working with Guru Nanak Mission Hospital Dhahan-Kaleran, near Banga, in the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar district in Punjab. He played a key role in establishing the ophthalmology department at the hospital.
Dr. Aggarwal is highly experienced in managing corneal diseases and performing eye surgeries including cataract, filtration and refractive procedures. With his team, he has performed over 10,000 phacoemulsification (a.k.a. phaco) cataract surgeries using a variety of intraocular lenses (IOLs) including toric, multifocal, trifocal and extended depth of focus (EDOF) lenses.
He is also capable of using lasers for eye treatments. These include panretinal photocoagulation (PRP), grid laser treatments, focal laser treatments and other types of retinal therapy laser treatments.

Dr. Aggarwal completed his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2002 From Baba Farid University of Health Sciences. He earned his Diploma in Ophthalmic Medicine & Surgery (DOMS) in 2008 from JJM Medical College in Davanagere under Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS). He obtained his Diplomate of National Board (DNB) in Ophthalmology from Dr. Agarwal’s Eye Hospital & Eye Research Centre in Chennai in 2010.
Dr. Aggarwal also attends conferences related to his industry, to further develop his skill set.
Today, his practice focuses on comprehensive ophthalmology, phaco cataract procedures, and retinal diseases.
